URDU JANG’S PRESSURE TACTICS

The blackmailing, dishonest and opportunist newspaper JANG of Jang Group is once again putting fuel on fire by printing a 30 days ‘countdown’ for the restoration of mazoor (retarded) judges. This is the same scenario when 30 years ago, the same Jang paper ran at the top of its front-page and the bottom the most provocative racial and linguistic newsflashes, like ‘Urdu ka janaza hai zara dhoom say niklay‘. It was a time when Sindh Assembly passed the Sindh language bill.
The Jang Group’s corrupt and hypocrite anchors and producers are the same people who give the most biased, controversial and flaring newsflashes and concocted stories, which have no base or truth. Let us take a quick look at some of them for the record.
The defeat of Q-League in elections was brought by Geo saying, “They have been wiped out” (safaya ho gaya) … “Q-League losers are packing the suitcase to run away“. The Jang, The News and Geo TV everyday dig news from all over America, India and Europe that President Musharraf is about to resign, America has ditched Musharraf. Kamran ‘Stutter’ Khan of Geo TV put words in the mouth of Pervez Musharraf during his interview, “Why does not he take rest, play Golf and enjoy time with his family” etc. When presidential lawyer Ahmed Raza Qasuri had a hooligan lawyer spray black ink on his face, Geo TV ran news repeatedly saying, “unka moonh kala kar deya” (his face painted black).
The most unprofessional and insulting language by the so called champs of freedom of press … MF. Millions of people watched Kamran Khan of Geo TV insulting the sitting Chief Minister of Sindh Dr. Arbab Rahim during a LIVE interview. If I was Dr. Arbab, I would have slapped Kamran’s face to remind of his auqaat.
I would like to invite attention of the Americans and Pakistanis, individuals, congressmen, senators, intellectuals, press, media, associations and organizations to closely watch how Pakistani anchors, reporters, commentators, lawyers, retired judges use third class and disgusting language against the President of Pakistan, the president of their own country.
I can challenge you, no civilized society in the world uses such disgraceful and uncivilized language against the head of the state. Zardari and Benazir robbed the country, Bhutto broke up Pakistan in two, and many more leaders put the country at humongous loss but they were not insulted and humiliated by these so-called educated people to the extent of what President Musharraf has faced, and he faced it with tolerance, I should add.
