محمد علی جناح کے والد ذوالجناح پونجا کی والدہ نے عاشور کے دن اپنے یہاں لڑکا ہونے کی منّت مانی اور بیٹا پیدا ہونے پر امام حسین [ع] کی سواری ذوالجناح کے نام پر اپنے بیٹے کا نام ذوالجناح [پونجا] رکھا - کثرتِ استعمال سے “ذوالجناح” صرف “جناح” رہ گیا - اور یہی قائدِ اعظم کا خاندانی نام قرار پایا
